Federal Campaign Finance Requirements

Contributions are not tax-deductible. The maximum an individual may contribute is $3,300 per election ($6,600 total for primary and general elections combined).

Federal law requires political committees to report the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer for each individual whose contributions aggregate in excess of $200 in an election cycle.

Contributions from corporations, labor unions, foreign nationals without green cards, and federal government contractors are prohibited.
